TikTok enables the Chinese Communist Party to harvest and access the data of over a hundred million Americans while spreading anti-American propaganda and sowing internal division in the United States.
TikTok’s Terms of Service authorize access to extremely sensitive data including a user’s biometric data; faceprints and voiceprints; geolocation data; internet history; personal contacts; personal files; and even passwords and keystrokes.
Under China’s national security law, Chinese companies are forced to cooperate with government intelligence operations. This means that TikTok must allow the Chinese government to access its user data whenever the Chinese government demands. Furthermore, TikTok has been a continuous channel of unlabeled CCP propaganda, manipulating the opinions and voting behaviors of key American demographics.
China is the most serious threat to the American way of life. Our greatest geopolitical adversary cannot be allowed to violate our sovereignty and abuse the rights of American citizens. Tell Congress to ban TikTok now.
