The Biden Administration is once again attempting to usurp Congress’ legislative authority via administrative diktat. Congress has plenary legislative authority and the power of the purse, making it the only instrument of government with the constitutional authority to enact a nationwide loan forgiveness program of such enormous scope.
Tell Congress to support H.J. Res. 45, which would overturn the Biden Administration’s unfair and unconstitutional attempt to unilaterally cancel federal student loan debt. The Secretary of Education’s actions threaten the separation of powers and jeopardize citizens’ liberty by allowing an unaccountable administrative state to set major national policy and put taxpayers on the hook for hundreds of billions of dollars in spending. A vote for H.J. Res. 45 supports constitutional government, liberty, and accountability for an Executive branch that increasingly usurps congressional constitutional authority to the detriment of hardworking American families.
